Overview
Spend a day at UN Headquarters and participate in Camp United Nations for Youth! Camp United Nations for Youth NYC 2026 and a Day at United Nations Headquarters is a two-day program that includes the activities outlined below. Youth are introduced to the work of the United Nations, diplomacy, and global affairs.
This is a day program, and parents are responsible for accommodations and transportation for those traveling to NYC to participate. No financial assistance is available for this event.
Day 1 – Conference Center (1 pm to 5 pm)
Camp United Nations begins with a lesson on the history of the United Nations and the organization’s purpose. A study of the structure, leadership, and rules of procedure of the United Nations follows this. Each student will be assigned to serve as a delegate for a UN Member State. When the General Assembly convenes, delegates will propose a resolution. The resolution will be subject to negotiation and amendment by the UN Delegates before a vote on a final version of the resolution.

Is this event a drop-off? All camps are drop-off unless parent participation is indicated. Parents may wait at the venue for the duration of the camp in any of the lounge or seating area throughout the hotel. The meeting room space is designed to accommodate only students and staff.
Is the registration fee refundable? The registration fee is non-refundable, except if the organizer cancels the session. If a participant is unable to attend a session, a credit will be placed on file that may be used at any time for a future program. The credit does not expire.
Is this a partisan program or supported by a political party? No, the Girls in Politics Initiative is an independent organization that is self-funded through the fees generated from hosting sessions. The curriculum is civic education.
